Greater St. Louis, Inc. has joined forces with St. Louis Mayor Cara Spencer and other leaders to urge the community to donate essential supplies ahead of anticipated severe weather on May 19 and 20. The request comes as part of ongoing recovery and relief efforts in the region.
The immediate need is for tools, plywood, two-by-fours, wood screws, tarps, exterior caulk, and caulk guns. These items are critical as they will aid in preparations before the storms hit.
Donations can be delivered to any of three designated locations: The O’Fallon Park YMCA at 4343 West Florissant Ave., the Urban League headquarters at Kingshighway and Page Blvd., or 4 the Ville at 4144 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
For those requiring immediate assistance or resources, further information is available on the City’s website.
Additionally, individuals wishing to contribute financially can donate directly to storm relief efforts through the United Way of Greater St. Louis's Severe Storm/Tornado Relief Fund. This fund aims to assist residents across the bi-state region affected by recent storms.
