Greater St. Louis, Inc. appoints new senior vice presidents

Greater St. Louis, Inc. has announced the addition of two new senior leaders to its team. Kate Loar and Kylee Garretson have joined as Senior Vice President and Chief Engagement Officer, and Senior Vice President for Business Attraction, respectively.

Interim CEO Dustin Allison expressed enthusiasm about the new appointments: “We are excited to have Kate and Kylee join our team at GSL. They both bring years of experience in their respective fields and their leadership will be critical to our work to strengthen Greater St. Louis, Inc. for the future and continue the forward momentum of the St. Louis region.”

Kate Loar will focus on development and investor engagement efforts in her role as Chief Engagement Officer. She previously served as Vice President of Engagement for GSL and led fundraising for Venture for America. Her educational background includes bachelor’s degrees in music and business from Heidelberg University, along with master’s degrees in arts administration and business administration from the University of Cincinnati.

Kylee Garretson joins from Austin Consulting where she was a site selection consultant. As Senior Vice President for Business Attraction, she will oversee GSL's team assisting companies with site selection processes. Garretson holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and a master’s degree in public policy administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
