A group of Missouri Lottery players recently discovered they had won a $100,000 top prize on a "Break the Bank" Scratchers ticket. The winning ticket was bought at Gas Mart located at 3751 S. Jefferson Ave., in St. Louis.

One of the winners recounted the experience, saying, “I had actually asked for a different ticket, and the clerk accidentally gave me this one.” Initially skeptical about their win, she added, “I thought it was a fake ticket at first!”

To confirm their win, they scanned the ticket. “When the screen showed ‘Claim your prize at a Missouri Lottery Office,’ I knew it was real!” she shared.

Since its release on April 28, "Break the Bank" players have claimed over $1.8 million in prizes from this $5 game. There are still more than $16.6 million in prizes waiting to be claimed, including five additional top prizes of $100,000 and six prizes of $20,000.

In fiscal year 2024 (FY24), St. Louis City players collected over $45 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $4.4 million in commissions and bonuses during this period, while education programs in the city benefited from over $36.9 million generated by lottery proceeds.
