U.S. Senator Josh Hawley has expressed his condolences following the death of former U.S. Senator and Missouri Governor Christopher S. "Kit" Bond. In a statement released today, Hawley remarked on Bond's significant contributions to Missouri and the nation.
"Erin and I were saddened to hear of the death of our friend, Kit Bond," said Hawley. "What a champion for Missouri. He served his state and his nation with the utmost distinction for decades – and he was above all a fine man."
Hawley also acknowledged the personal connection he shared with Bond, stating, "He & Linda have been such good friends to Erin and me."
Bond's passing marks the end of a notable career in public service, remembered by many for his dedication to both state and country.
