A Missouri Lottery player recently discovered a $100,000 top prize from an "Electric Cash" Scratchers ticket purchased at BullsEye on Highway 64 in Pittsburg. The winner, who usually plays a different $5 game, decided to try the "Electric Cash" ticket due to availability.

“They were out of the $5 game that I usually play, so I thought I’d give that one a try,” he said. After scratching the ticket in his car, he was taken aback by the win. “I was shocked!” he exclaimed. “I’ve never won that much in my life.”

His parents were the first to hear about his windfall and initially found it hard to believe. The winner recalled with amusement how his mother double-checked the win: “My mom actually entered it into her calculator three times to make sure it was correct.”

The "Electric Cash" game has awarded over $8.4 million in prizes since its launch, with more than $8.3 million still unclaimed, including two additional $100,000 prizes.

In Hickory County during fiscal year 2024, lottery players won over $1.7 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers earned more than $180,000 in commissions and bonuses while education programs benefited from over $139,000 in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
