Otis Williams has been appointed as the Interim CEO of the St. Louis Development Corporation (SLDC), as announced in a statement by Greater St. Louis, Inc. Interim CEO Dustin Allison. This decision was made by the SLDC board of directors and endorsed by Mayor Cara Spencer.

Allison stated, "We have to get the City of St. Louis growing again, and the appointment of Otis Williams is an excellent step by Mayor Cara Spencer and the SLDC board to help us achieve this mission."

Williams has previously worked with Allison, who praised him for his "decades of experience" and "a lifetime of commitment and service to the improvement of our community." Allison expressed optimism about collaborating with Williams and SLDC to advance development projects that are crucial for the growth of the city. He emphasized the focus on areas needing investment, particularly those in North and Southeast St. Louis, as well as Downtown.

In addition, Allison acknowledged the contributions of Neal Richardson, the former leader of SLDC. "We also want to express our appreciation to Neal Richardson for his leadership of SLDC. Leading the City’s development efforts coming out of the pandemic was no easy task, and he deserves our thanks and appreciation for his work to move the City forward," he said.
