Eureka resident wins Greater St. Louis Marathon amidst impactful weekend

Amid a weekend filled with sporting events, the Greater St. Louis Marathon was a highlight, taking place last Saturday and attracting 20,000 runners from across the United States to the streets of St. Louis. This event marked the 25th anniversary of Go! St. Louis, a nonprofit organization responsible for presenting fitness events throughout the region. A local man from Eureka, Missouri, emerged as the marathon's winner.

"The Bottom Line: From race weekend to college hockey, sports are expected to make a $40 million economic impact to the region this spring," stated an announcement. "Every safe and successful event like the Greater St. Louis Marathon builds on St. Louis’ reputation as a vibrant place to visit, live, and work."
