A Missouri Lottery player secured a $1 million prize after purchasing a "Cash Craze" Scratchers ticket at FastLane, located on Highway 24 E. in Moberly. The winner recounted that it was late and few places were open, leading to the decision to buy the ticket on a whim.

“It was late and there weren’t many places open,” the winner said. “At first I wasn’t going to buy any tickets, but this was a newer ticket, so I thought I would try one.”

While scratching the ticket, the player noticed an instant-win symbol instead of a number and uncovered the $1 million prize. The realization of winning was confirmed by an attendant's reaction.

“I asked the attendant to look at it. I think he had a bigger smile than I did when he looked at it!” the winner shared. “That’s when I knew I really won!”

The "$1,000,000 Cash Craze" game has awarded over $9.8 million in prizes since its release in December. More than $24.3 million in prizes remain unclaimed, including another $1 million prize and three $50,000 prizes.

In fiscal year 2024, Randolph County players won over $5.2 million from Missouri Lottery games. Retailers earned more than $520,000 in commissions and bonuses, while education programs received more than $760,000 from lottery proceeds.
