A Missouri Lottery player experienced a surprising win after purchasing a Powerball ticket for the March 10 drawing. The winner, who bought the Quick Pick ticket at Casey’s located at 1354 N.W. Graham Road in Urich, matched four out of five white-ball numbers and the Powerball number, securing a $50,000 prize.

The winning numbers for that draw were 17, 40, 47, 50, and 55 with a Powerball number of 6. Upon discovering his win, the lucky player expressed his disbelief by saying, “I thought I was going to have a heart attack when I found out I won!”

Powerball is known as a multi-state Draw Game with drawings conducted every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m.

In fiscal year 2024 (FY24), Henry County players claimed over $4.4 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. Additionally, local retailers earned more than $350,000 in commissions and bonuses from lottery sales. Furthermore, proceeds exceeding $375,000 from the Lottery were allocated to support education programs within the county.
