U.S. Senator Josh Hawley announced plans to introduce legislation aimed at limiting the power of local district court judges to issue nationwide injunctions. This move is seen as a response to what he describes as an overreach that hinders the executive branch, particularly under President Donald Trump's administration.

"District Court judges have issued RECORD numbers of national injunctions against the Trump administration – a dramatic abuse of judicial authority. I will introduce legislation to stop this abuse for good," Hawley stated on social media.

The senator's criticism highlights his concern over what he perceives as judicial overreach by local district courts, which he argues has been used excessively to challenge and block the president's agenda.
