A Missouri Lottery player from St. Francois County recently won a $50,000 Powerball prize with a Quick Pick ticket. The winning ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball number in the March 3 drawing. The numbers drawn were 18, 20, 50, 52, and 56, with a Powerball number of 20.

The winner recounted the moment he discovered his win: “I was checking my ticket on my phone when my wife walked in and asked, ‘Where did you buy your ticket?’” His wife had informed him that a winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was purchased at Discount Cigarettes & Beer located at 905 E. Karsch Blvd., Farmington. He replied to her surprise by saying, “I’m that guy!”

Powerball is a multi-state draw game with drawings occurring on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m.

In fiscal year 2024 (FY24), players in St. Francois County won over $12.4 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers earned more than $1.2 million in commissions and bonuses while over $2.7 million from lottery proceeds supported education programs within the county.
