A Missouri Lottery player experienced a significant win with a "Ruby Red 7s" ticket purchased at Elm Street Wine and Spirits in St. Charles. The winner, who had previously won $500 on the same type of ticket, decided to try her luck again.
"The week before, I had actually won $500 on another one of the same tickets, so I thought I'd try it again," she explained.
After taking the tickets home and scratching them later, she discovered that she had won one of the top prizes of $77,777.
"I was just pacing back and forth," she said. "I was home alone, and I had no one to talk to about it. It was awesome!"
Since its launch on January 27th, players of "Ruby Red 7s" have won over $4.2 million in prizes. Currently, there are more than $9.8 million in unclaimed prizes remaining, including four additional top prizes of $77,777.
In fiscal year 2024, players in St. Charles County claimed over $68.2 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers earned more than $6.4 million through commissions and bonuses while local education programs benefited from over $16.5 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
