A Missouri Lottery player recently won a $55,558 prize after purchasing a "5X Bingo" Scratchers ticket from the Convenience Barn 4 located at 154 Parkway Drive in Park Hills. The winner initially intended to play his usual game but opted for the "5X Bingo" ticket instead when he couldn't find it.
The decision proved fortunate as he not only recovered his initial three-dollar investment but also secured a significant win on Card 6 of the ticket. To confirm his win, he took a picture of the ticket and sent it to his mother-in-law.
"A few minutes later I called her and she said, ‘We blew the picture up and you won!’” he recounted.
Since its launch, "5X Bingo" players have collectively won over $15.3 million. In fiscal year 2024, St. Francois County saw its lottery players winning more than $12.4 million in prizes. Retailers in the county received over $1.2 million in commissions and bonuses, while more than $2.7 million from lottery proceeds supported local education programs.
