An out-of-state visitor recently experienced a stroke of luck while playing the Missouri Lottery's Club Keno game in Kennett, Missouri. The player, who stopped at Tobacco Shoppe on St. Francis Street, matched nine Spots on a 10-Spot ticket during a drawing on February 9.
"I learned to play several years ago in Vegas, and it’s not available in our state," the winner explained.
Typically, matching nine Spots on a 10-Spot ticket results in a $5,000 prize. However, by opting for the Double Bulls-Eye feature, the player's winnings increased significantly to $62,500.
"I was tickled!" he expressed. "I’ve never won anything like this before."
Club Keno is known for its fast-paced nature with drawings every four minutes from 5 a.m. until 1:52 a.m. daily.
In fiscal year 2024, Dunklin County players secured over $10.5 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $825,000 in commissions and bonuses, while over $925,000 from lottery proceeds supported education programs within the county.
