The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced scheduled bridge maintenance on I-70 over U.S. Highway 40 in Jackson County. The maintenance is set to begin on Tuesday, February 18, and continue through Tuesday, March 11. These dates are subject to change based on weather conditions.
The project will involve several traffic modifications. There will be lane closures on I-70 over U.S. Highway 40, a ramp closure at I-70 westbound to U.S. Highway 40, and lane closures on both the eastbound and westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 40 under I-70.
Motorists are advised to reduce speed and remain attentive while navigating work zones. It is important to note that work zones may vary in appearance and can sometimes involve short-term or temporary lane closures for quick repairs or debris removal.
"Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones," stated the Missouri Department of Transportation.
