The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced its planned highway maintenance and construction work for Northwest Missouri during the week of February 10-16. The schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, and updates can be found on the MoDOT Traveler Information Map or its app.

MoDOT urges drivers to ensure safety by "buckling up, putting your phone down, slowing down and moving over in work zones."

In Andrew County, bridge maintenance will occur southbound on Interstate 29 at the bridge over U.S. Route 71/I-229 on February 11.

Caldwell County's Route D remains closed at the Shoal Creek Bridge due to deterioration. Cale Seymour Construction, LLC has been awarded the replacement project, but a start date is yet to be determined.

Chariton County's Route 11 is closed at Salt Creek Bridge for a replacement project expected to continue through March 2025. Carroll County faces similar closures with Route J at Bridge Creek Bridge undergoing replacement until May 2025.

Nodaway County's Route NN is closed indefinitely at Platte River Bridge west of Parnell because of significant deterioration. The bridge is scheduled for contractor letting in March 2025 under the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.

Putnam County sees Route 129 closed at North Blackbird Creek Bridge for rehabilitation through February 2025.

These projects are part of the Northwest Bridge Bundle program managed by Capital-Horner & Shifrin. More information can be found on their NWBB program web page.
