The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced plans to enhance the intersection of Route M and County Road 459 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. This project aims to improve sight distance at the intersection.
The project is tentatively scheduled for November 2025. The enhancements will commence following the completion of the Route M resurfacing project. Work will involve flattening the crest of a hill to enhance visibility along Route M and its intersection with County Road 459.
Construction may start as early as spring 2026, with an expected closure of the roadway near the intersection for about two months during this period.
