The removal of toll booths on Camden County Route MM is set to commence next week. Crews from Gene Haile Excavating Inc., in collaboration with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), are scheduled to start this project on Monday, February 10, 2025. The work is anticipated to be completed by May 1, 2025.

Initially, the project will involve intermittent lane closures with flaggers directing traffic through the construction area. In early March, temporary traffic signals will be used to reduce Route MM to one lane while still allowing two-way traffic. Although Route MM will remain open during the project, drivers should expect delays.

MoDOT has emphasized that all work is dependent on weather conditions and may change accordingly.

"MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones."

For more details regarding MoDOT projects or transportation updates, individuals can visit their Traveler Information Map online or contact their Customer Service Center. Updates are also available through social media platforms like Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram.
