The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has awarded several contracts for projects in the Southeast District. The decisions were made during a regular meeting on February 5. The projects involve various infrastructure improvements, including pavement preservation, roundabout construction, bridge rehabilitations, resurfacing, and replacements of bridges and pipes.
Concrete Strategies, LLC received a $16,454,288 contract for rehabilitating the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge on Route 74 in Cape Girardeau County over the Mississippi River. West Plains Bridge & Grading, LLC was awarded two contracts: one for $1,847,000 to rehabilitate a bridge over Roubidoux Creek on Route 17 in Texas County and another for $3,964,000 to replace bridges at three locations on Route 137 in Texas County.
Fronabarger Concreters, Inc. secured a $2,720,537 contract to construct a roundabout at the intersection of Routes 72 and 51 in Bollinger County. Apex Paving Co. was awarded multiple contracts: $3,147,556 for pavement preservation and rumble stripes addition on Route N from Route 51 to Route 25 in Bollinger County; $1,809,931 for resurfacing Route M from Route A to Interstate 55 in Scott County; $2,238,172 for pavement preservation treatments across several routes; and $187,954 for treatment on Route F from Route 412 to the Arkansas State line in Dunklin County.
Courtney Construction LLC received a $187,148 contract for pipe replacement three miles east of Route E on U.S. 60 in Wright County.
