Crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) had scheduled a closure of the ramp and bridge from I-229 southbound to I-29 northbound, located south of St. Joseph, for maintenance work on February 5. However, due to weather conditions, this work has been postponed until Friday, February 7. The ramp and bridge will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Motorists are advised to find alternative routes during this period. MoDOT emphasizes that all plans depend on weather conditions and schedules may change accordingly.

MoDOT encourages drivers to ensure safety by buckling up, avoiding phone use while driving, reducing speed, and being cautious in work zones.

For updates on work zones, MoDOT recommends visiting their website at modot.org or calling their information line at 888-ASK-MODOT (275-6636). Social media platforms such as Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram also provide updates.

"Take the Challenge! Buckle Up/Phone Down," MoDOT advises as part of its safety campaign.
