The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced the award of projects under the Regional Bridge Program for federal fiscal year 2026. This program replaces the previous off-system local bridge replacement program and is funded through BRO funds and new funds from the Bridge Formula Program, part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

Statewide, 201 project applications were submitted with a total cost exceeding $162.5 million. Out of these, 63 projects were awarded regional federal funds amounting to $49.9 million, covering an estimated total project cost of approximately $54.6 million. Among these projects, one large bridge was selected to receive $500,000 in federal funding.

The East-West Gateway Council of Governments selects regional bridge projects for the St. Louis Region through a separate competitive process.

Project sponsors will soon receive official notifications detailing next steps from their MoDOT District Local Public Agency program coordinator.

For more information on the Regional Bridge Program, individuals can contact the Statewide Bridge Committee at BRO_SBC@modot.mo.gov or reach out to their respective MoDOT District LPA contact for specific project details.
