The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has rescheduled the girder setting on the Route 13/Truman Lake Bridge in Henry County. Originally planned for January 30, the work will now take place from 7 p.m. to midnight on Tuesday, February 4. The change was made due to anticipated rain.

During this time, drivers on Missouri Route 13 over Truman Lake north of Deepwater will encounter flaggers and should expect traffic delays as contractor crews set girders for the new bridge. Currently, Route 13 is reduced to one lane in each direction and shifted onto northbound lanes during construction.

Flaggers will direct traffic at both ends of the bridge from 7 p.m. to midnight on February 4. Signs and message boards will be in place to alert drivers approaching the work zone, and motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes.

MoDOT advises checking their Traveler Information Map for updates on road closings and traffic impacts. Weather or scheduling conflicts could further alter the work schedule.

For additional information, MoDOT can be contacted in Springfield at 417-895-7600 or through their website at www.modot.org/southwest.
