The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced the temporary closure of left turn lanes at the intersection of Missouri Route 165 and Green Mountain Drive in Branson. The closure is scheduled to occur from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28.

The purpose of this operation is to upgrade the left turn signal heads to include a flashing yellow arrow. MoDOT has clarified that while each left turn lane will be closed for up to an hour, they will not be closed simultaneously. During this time, traffic signals may flash periodically.

Missouri Route 165 and Green Mountain Drive will remain open throughout the work period. However, drivers are advised that crews and equipment will be close to traffic in certain areas. No signed detours will be provided, so drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes.

To assist motorists approaching the work zones, signs and message boards will be used for alerts. For those seeking additional information about road closings or traffic impacts, MoDOT suggests checking their Traveler Information Map.

MoDOT also noted that weather conditions or construction delays could impact the planned schedule.

For further inquiries, MoDOT can be reached in Springfield at 417-895-7600 or through their website at www.modot.org/southwest. Updates can also be followed on MoDOT's Southwest District social media platforms including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube.
