The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced maintenance work on Interstate 44 in Laclede County. The operation will take place at mile marker 144.8, starting on Sunday, January 26, at 6 p.m., and is expected to conclude by Monday, January 27, at 3 p.m. During this period, the right-hand driving lane will be closed.
The department notes that all work is dependent on weather conditions and schedules may change accordingly.
MoDOT urges motorists to cooperate by following safety measures: "MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones." Drivers are encouraged to exercise caution in work zones and avoid distractions.
For updates on traffic or other transportation-related inquiries, MoDOT can be contacted at 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636). Additional information is available through their Traveler Information Map and social media platforms. The public can follow the MoDOT Central Missouri District on Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram.
"Take the Challenge! Buckle Up/Phone Down," emphasizes MoDOT's campaign for road safety.
