Greater St. Louis, Inc. (GSL) has introduced the Affiliate Chamber Program to extend the influence of local chambers of commerce across the 15-county metro area. This initiative enables regional chambers to collaborate with GSL, thereby enhancing benefits for their members and creating a wider network of small businesses connected to GSL's corporate investors.

Brooke LaPlaca, Director of Engagement for GSL, leads this program and emphasizes its role in fostering regional collaboration. "We developed this program to create broader regional collaboration," she stated. "GSL understands that small businesses are an engine of growth for the metro. Creating opportunities for connection boosts their individual growth – and advances the region together."

The program is free to join and already includes several participating chambers from Missouri and Illinois, such as the Asian American Chamber of Commerce, St. Louis; Creve Coeur Olivette Chamber of Commerce; Heartland St. Louis Black Chamber of Commerce; St. Charles Regional Chamber; St. Louis African Chamber of Commerce; and Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce.

Participating chambers receive various benefits, including a $500 sponsorship from GSL for a program or event, representation on both GSL’s Government Relations Council and Investor Council, and promotion through GSL platforms.

Scott Tate, President and CEO of St. Charles Regional Chamber, highlighted the advantages: "This program amplifies the benefits that our chamber offers," he said. "It gives my members the opportunity to connect with and learn from other small businesses within the region. And it helps all of us contribute to bigger picture growth for the St. Louis metro."

The program is currently open for participation.
