Greater St. Louis, Inc., in collaboration with regional chambers of commerce from the St. Louis area, organized the 2024 Economic Outlook Breakfast. The event aimed to foster unity across the 15-county bi-state St. Louis metro and promote inclusive economic growth.
Neil Bradley, Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, delivered a keynote address to an audience of over 450 attendees. He discussed national economic trends and highlighted the progress being made in the St. Louis metro area.
“I would suggest the work you’re doing in St. Louis, the work we’re doing at the U.S. Chamber, really is about delivering the American Dream,” Bradley stated.
Bradley participated in a panel discussion alongside Jason Hall, CEO of Greater St. Louis Inc., and Michelle Li from KSDK-5's Today in St. Louis program, who also served as emcee for the event. The panel focused on economic growth and regional collaboration, emphasizing how local chambers of commerce and small businesses are essential for future development in St. Louis.
Hall remarked on maintaining momentum: “The key is not missing this moment. We have got to stay the course. There is a collaborative spirit that has taken hold in this community that is very real. I truly believe that is our super power: our collaborative spirit.”
The breakfast also spotlighted the Love Local campaign, which promotes shopping at local small businesses during the holiday season.
Local chambers partnering with Greater St. Louis Inc., included organizations such as Affton - Lemay Chamber of Commerce, African Chamber of Commerce, Asian American Chamber of Commerce St. Louis, Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce, Clayton Chamber of Commerce among others.
