U.S. District Judge John A. Ross has sentenced Tristin M. Davis, a truck driver from St. Charles County, to 15 years in prison for engaging in online sexual activity with three minors across the United States. Following his prison term, Davis will be subject to lifetime supervised release.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jillian Anderson stated that Davis, 27, communicated with hundreds of individuals online, many believed to be minors. Law enforcement identified three victims between the ages of 14 and 16. Using screen names “muffinman130020” and “bacontaxi,” Davis initially misrepresented his age to appear as a peer before revealing his true age.

Davis persuaded these victims into sexually explicit interactions and received child sexual abuse material from each of them. Anderson described Davis's communications as "demeaning, derogatory and subjugating," involving discussions on topics such as rape, bondage, and violence.

In April, Davis pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to three counts of coercion and enticement of a minor and three counts of receipt of child pornography.

The investigation was conducted by the St. Charles County Police Department, while Assistant U.S. Attorney Jillian Anderson prosecuted the case.

This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse nationwide. The project seeks to coordinate federal, state, and local resources for apprehending offenders who exploit children via the Internet and rescuing victims involved.
