The City of St. Louis Refuse Division has announced that the south drop off site located at 4100 South 1st Street will be closed until further notice. This closure requires all residents to utilize the north drop off site located at 4124 North 1st Street for their disposal needs. The Refuse Division specified, "The south drop off site located at 4100 South 1st Street will be closed until further notice." Additionally, they emphasized that "All residents must use the north drop off site located at 4124 North 1st Street during the closure of the south drop off site."

Residents are advised that they can drop off trash, recycling, and yard waste at the north drop off site from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm. For further information and answers to common questions regarding various waste disposal topics such as remodeling and renovation, illegal dumping, bulky items, yard waste, Christmas trees, and recycling, residents are encouraged to visit the Refuse Division website. Moreover, the Refuse Division also highlighted the importance of properly disposing of hazardous waste and recommended checking out their hazardous waste program for guidance.
