St. Louis man, Robert Eutz III, has been sentenced to 150 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Stephen R. Clark for a gun crime. Eutz, 44, pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm after being arrested by police following a shooting incident in 2023.

According to Eutz’s plea agreement, officers found incriminating evidence in his vehicle shortly after the shooting, including ammunition, a handgun, and drugs. The shooting victim positively identified Eutz as the shooter, and witnesses corroborated their accounts. The investigation revealed that Eutz, a convicted felon, was in illegal possession of a firearm, leading to his guilty plea.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Szczucinski prosecuted the case, which was investigated by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

In response to the sentencing, Eutz offered no comment or statement.
