Greater St. Louis, Inc. led a delegation of investors and regional leaders to Jefferson City to meet with members of the Missouri legislature as part of GSL’s annual Day at the Missouri Capitol. The event provided an opportunity for personal connections with legislators and advocacy for public policy priorities.
"The time we spend in Jefferson City allows us, our investors, and partners to directly advocate for pro-growth public policy," said Adam Kazda, GSL’s Vice President for Government Affairs. "Strengthening these relationships builds trust and collaboration, which in turn allows us to better advocate for policies that build inclusive economic growth throughout the metro and state."
During the visit, the delegation had lunch at the office of Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe before engaging with Senate and House majority and minority leadership, members of the Senate Appropriations committee, and legislative sponsors of House and Senate bills. The discussions centered around GSL's key public policy priorities, including the Revitalizing Downtowns and Main Streets Act and the Advanced Manufacturing Recruitment Act.
These bills were researched, developed, and are championed by GSL in collaboration with legislative partners. Greater St. Louis, Inc. will continue its advocacy efforts with a Day at the Illinois Capitol on Thursday, April 18. Interested parties are encouraged to register for the upcoming event.
