A Warren County, Missouri man, Jacob D. Beauchamp, has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography. According to reports, Beauchamp admitted to possessing hundreds of images containing child sexual abuse material on his electronic devices.

Beauchamp confessed to having 146 images on his Apple iPhone, around 1,800 on his Samsung phone, and numerous images on a screensaver displayed on his laptop. The investigation into Beauchamp was initiated by a minor female who accused him of sexual abuse and recording the acts. However, Beauchamp denied these allegations in his plea agreement.

The case is set for sentencing on July 17, with Beauchamp facing a potential penalty of up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. The Wright City Police Department and the St. Charles County Cyber Crime Task Force were involved in investigating the case, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Jillian Anderson leading the prosecution.

This case falls under Project Safe Childhood, a national initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. Launched in 2006 by the Department of Justice, the project coordinates efforts at federal, state, and local levels to identify, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children online, as well as to rescue victims.
