The University of Missouri has officially launched a national search for a new athletics director, aiming to find a visionary leader who can continue the momentum of recent successes and further enhance Mizzou's championship culture. University President Mun Choi expressed the university's aspirations for the new AD, stating, “We’re seeking a leader who will support our coaches and student-athletes to achieve their championship goals. Our fans and supporters in Missouri and beyond deserve the very best from Mizzou Athletics.”

Bob Blitz, curator and chair of the search committee, emphasized the importance of the role, highlighting the community of athletes, coaches, and fans that make up the essence of Mizzou Athletics. He stressed the significance of excelling in fundraising, facilities, and game-day experiences to propel the university towards the pinnacle of the Southeastern Conference (SEC).

The search committee, comprising prominent individuals such as Robin Wenneker, chair of the UM Board of Curators, and Todd Graves, curator, among others, is geared towards identifying the most suitable candidate for the position. The committee will also receive support from TurnkeyZRG, a renowned firm specializing in leadership recruitment in college athletics across the United States.

The upcoming appointment of a new athletics director comes on the heels of Mizzou Athletics' recent accomplishments, including a significant Cotton Bowl victory and a promising trajectory in various sports. As the university sets its sights on continued success, the search for a new AD marks a crucial step in solidifying Mizzou's position as a powerhouse in collegiate athletics.
