Augusta home prices fall in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in Augusta fell by $34,492 while total sales decreased by 71.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $206,000 - a 14.3% decrease over the $240,492 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Augusta in the first quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Augusta for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,838, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2017.
