St. Paul home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in St. Paul fell by $255,100 while total sales decreased by 36.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $169,900 - a 60% decrease over the $425,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 11 homes sold in St. Paul in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in St. Paul for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,877, approximately 1.7% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
