St. Paul home prices rise in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in St. Paul rose by $70,750 while total sales increased by 100%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $224,000 - a 46.2% increase over the $153,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in St. Paul in the first quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in St. Paul for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,877, approximately 1.3% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2019.
