A woman from St. Louis County, Missouri, has admitted to producing child pornography involving a two-year-old. Raven Ainesis Pointer, 26, pleaded guilty in the U.S. District Court in St. Louis to one count of production of child pornography. She acknowledged using her phone to create videos containing child sexual abuse material.
The investigation into Pointer began in August 2023 in Montgomery, Alabama. Homeland Security Investigations agents discovered that a man distributing child sexual abuse material had been communicating with a woman from St. Louis who identified herself as “Raven P.” He claimed she sent him videos involving a two-year-old victim, information corroborated by his phone.
Investigators identified Pointer and matched details in the videos to her and the filming location, according to her plea agreement. In an interview with investigators, she confirmed her presence in the videos and identified the victim.
Pointer is scheduled for sentencing on January 23, 2025. The charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years in prison.
Homeland Security Investigations and the St. Louis County Police Department conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Nathan Chapman is prosecuting the case.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse nationwide. It aims to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals exploiting children via the Internet while identifying and rescuing victims.
