St Louis CITY2 will face Tacoma Defiance on April 17 at Starfire Sports Complex, with kickoff scheduled for 9:00 p.m. CT, according to an April 16 announcement. The match will be available for streaming on mlsnextpro.com and OneFootball.

The upcoming game is important as St Louis CITY2 seeks to maintain its position at the top of the Western Conference standings in MLS NEXT Pro. The team remains unbeaten through six matches and currently holds sole possession of first place with 14 points.

In their previous match, St Louis CITY2 drew 2-2 against Colorado Rapids 2 at Energizer Park before winning a penalty shootout to secure two points. Palmer Ault scored his fifth goal of the season, assisted by Riley Lynch and Cooper Forcellini. Ault has contributed eight goals or assists over the last six matches for CITY2. Forcellini registered his first assist of the year during Friday’s game.

Friday’s fixture marks the first meeting between St Louis CITY2 and Tacoma Defiance this season.
