St Louis CITY2 will welcome Ventura County FC to Energizer Park for a match scheduled for Sunday, April 25, at 4:00 p.m. CT. The game will be available for streaming on mlsnextpro.com and OneFootball.

The upcoming match holds significance as St Louis CITY2 looks to continue its strong performance in the MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference. The team recently secured its fifth win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Tacoma Defiance, extending their unbeaten streak to seven matches and maintaining first place in the conference with 19 points.

In their last outing, Riley Lynch scored his second goal of the season in the first half, giving CITY2 an early lead. Although Tacoma tied the match early in the second half, Jemone Barclay converted a penalty kick in the 82nd minute to secure all three points for St Louis. Lynch now has two goals and one assist over his last two matches, while Barclay recorded his second goal of the year. Andrew De Gannes registered his first professional assist during that game, and Lucas McPartlin earned his fourth career win in MLS NEXT Pro.

Earlier this season, St Louis faced Ventura County FC on the road and achieved a comeback win by a score of 3-2. Barclay scored his first professional goal during that meeting, while Palmer Ault netted two goals to help CITY2 earn what was then their third victory of the campaign. Lynch contributed with assists on two goals that night. So far this season, Ventura’s only loss has come against St Louis CITY2.

Ventura County FC comes into Sunday’s fixture after drawing Austin FC II last weekend before losing in penalty kicks by a margin of 3-1. The team currently holds a record of three wins, one loss and three draws (3-1-3), totaling fourteen points overall with one road victory this year. Midfielder Dylan Vanney leads Ventura County with four goals scored.
