Sporting Kansas City announced on April 20 its schedule of matches, events, and community activities for the week of April 20-26. The team will travel to face the Chicago Fire at Soldier Field on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Central Time, with coverage available in English and Spanish on Apple TV and local radio.
The upcoming week features several events beyond the main match. Fans can watch Saturday’s game at No Other Pub in the Kansas City Power & Light District as part of Sporting KC’s official watch party network. No Other Pub is also a finalist for Best Local Sports Bar in the USA TODAY Sports Readers’ Choice Awards 2026, with voting open until May 11.
Sporting Kansas City will begin distributing free general admission tickets for its “Soccer Capital Summer” series this week, which includes special fan engagement events during June and July at Sporting Park. Youth soccer opportunities are also available through two one-day camps scheduled this week in Kansas City, Kan., and Olathe, Kan., open to children ages five to fourteen.
In addition to sporting events, Sporting KC players and staff will participate in volunteer efforts during Major League Soccer’s Greener Goals Week of Service. Volunteers will work with Urban Produce Push KC on Tuesday to prepare a community garden for spring planting and assist Kanbe’s Markets on Thursday by sorting rescued produce for local food pantries.
Other highlights include MLS NEXT ID Sessions for youth players seeking selection into future teams, Academy participation in the MLS NEXT Flex tournament in Texas, early childhood soccer program sessions starting Saturday, tryouts for the Sporting KC Unified Team with Special Olympics Missouri or Kansas on Sunday, as well as a home match between Sporting KC II and Houston Dynamo 2 that evening at Swope Soccer Village.
