Sporting Kansas City II will play their third consecutive home game against Tacoma Defiance on Sunday, May 3 at Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village. The match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff, with tickets available for $10 on SeatGeek.com and free streaming through the OneFootball app and MLSNEXTPro.com.

This matchup marks the third of four straight home fixtures for Sporting KC II. The team has secured two results in their last three matches, including a comeback victory over Whitecaps FC 2. In that win, Zamir Loyo Reynaga scored the equalizer and Kashan Hines netted the game-winner, both recording their first professional goals. Midfielder Carter Derksen contributed two assists during the match, bringing his season total to a team-high.

Goalkeeper Jacob Molinaro earned his first win of the season and has started all nine games for SKC II in 2026. He currently shares the league lead with 32 saves. Defender Pierre Lurot remains the only field player to have played every minute this season, serving as co-captain alongside Blaine Mabie.

In Sporting KC II’s most recent outing against Houston, midfielder Johann Ortiz returned from injury as a second-half substitute and scored his second goal of the season with an individual effort. Ortiz and forward Missael Rodriguez are tied as leading scorers for SKC II with two goals each.

Tacoma Defiance is coached by former SKC II head coach Paulo Nagamura, who joined Seattle Sounders’ second team before this MLS NEXT Pro campaign. Their top scorer is Yu Tsukanome—a first-team loanee—who has found the net four times so far this year.

Sporting KC II will conclude its homestand on Wednesday, May 6 against Ventura County FC at Victory Field.
