Sporting Kansas City II will play their fourth consecutive home game against Ventura County FC on May 6. The match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff at Victory Field, with tickets available through SeatGeek.com and free streaming on MLSNEXTPro.com and the OneFootball app.

This fixture marks the second game in four days for Sporting KC II, as head coach Lee Tschantret’s team seeks to build on recent positive results. The squad has earned three results in its last four matches, including a recent 2-2 draw with Tacoma Defiance. Shane Donovan, an SKC Academy product, scored his first professional brace during that game.

Donovan currently leads Sporting KC II with three goals this season and has started all nine of his appearances, totaling 803 minutes played. Zane Wantland assisted Donovan’s first goal against Tacoma and is tied for the team lead in assists alongside Carter Derksen. First-team loanee Jack Kortkamp returned to the starting lineup recently as goalkeeper after missing time since last season, while Jacob Molinaro ranks second in MLS NEXT Pro with 32 saves across nine starts.

Defender Pierre Lurot and forward Missael Rodriguez have started every match for Sporting KC II this year; Lurot has played every minute so far and shares captain duties with midfielder Blaine Mabie. Rodriguez has contributed two goals over his 847 minutes of play.

Ventura County FC enters Wednesday’s contest atop the Pacific Division under head coach Matt Taylor, led by top scorer Dylan Vanney with five goals this season. Goalkeeper Sebastian Colon has posted three clean sheets from eight starts while making a league-high 36 saves.

Looking ahead, Sporting Kansas City II will travel to face Colorado Rapids 2 on May 10 for their first road match since April.
