South Transfer Station Closed April 15-April 26, 2024

The City of St. Louis Refuse Division has announced the temporary closure of the south drop off site located at 4100 South 1st Street from April 15 to April 26, 2024. During this period, all residents are advised to utilize the north drop off site at 4124 North 1st Street.

According to the Refuse Division, citizens can drop off trash, recycling, and yard waste at the north site from Monday to Friday between 8 am and 4 pm. The south drop off site is scheduled to reopen on Monday, April 29, 2024.

In addition to this closure, residents are encouraged to visit the Refuse Division website for information on various services and programs, including Remodeling and Renovation, Illegal Dumping, Bulky and B.O.A.T. Items (Batteries, Oil, Appliances, Tires), Yard Waste and Christmas Trees, Recycling, and a hazardous waste program.

Stay informed and plan your waste disposal accordingly during the temporary closure of the south transfer station.
