A student from Saint Louis University (SLU) has been recognized with the 2024 Missouri Teacher Leaders of Tomorrow award. Molly Craig was nominated by a group of SLU educators for her commitment to education.

“Molly has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication and promise throughout her tenure at Saint Louis University, both as a student and as a prospective teacher,” said Jeannine Butler, Ed.D., assistant professor of educational studies. “Her commitment to education is inspiring, and she embodies the ideal qualities of an educator, fostering an environment where learners feel valued and supported.”

The award provides Craig with personalized mentorship from distinguished Missouri Milken educators. These mentors have received the National Milken Educator Award from the Milken Family Foundation for their achievements. Craig will receive a full year of coaching and mentorship, access to the Missouri Milken Educators network, recognition by the Missouri State Board of Education on June 11, and participation in a professional learning workshop led by these educators.

Craig plans to serve students in St. Louis who need special services. After receiving her bachelor’s degree on May 18, she intends to continue her education at SLU in the Masters of Education Leadership program while teaching full-time at Mullanphy Botanical Garden Investigative Learning Center in St. Louis Public Schools.
