Polk County Sheriff’s Office reports jail bookings and incident responses on April 28

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office reported on April 28 that the county jail had a capacity of 36, with 33 inmates currently incarcerated. Two individuals were booked: Kent Mashburn, age 64, was arrested on a warrant for burglary, stealing, and trespass; Drake Koch-Jenkins, age 29, was booked on a writ.

The report also detailed several incidents to which deputies responded across the county. These included an agency assist in the 500 block of North Poplar Street in Fair Play and a commercial fire in the 100 block of West First Street in Fair Play. Deputies handled a motor vehicle accident in the 1900 block of East 365th Road near Polk and responded to animal calls involving cows out on Highway AA at East 425th Road in Halfway and a bull out in the 1600 block of East 355th Road in Bolivar.

Other calls included citizen assistance requests at the 1500 block of North Oakland Avenue in Bolivar and reports of physical assault at the 5500 block of Highway K near Brighton. Civil paperwork was served at several locations including North Main Avenue in Morrisville, University Drive and South Albany Avenue in Bolivar, as well as East 360th Road near Louisburg.

Additional incidents involved property damage reported from Highway 215 near Walnut Grove; theft calls from East 508th Road near Aldrich and East 566th Road near Willard; an ex parte violation at West Lewis Street in Pleasant Hope; suspicious activity along Highway O near Dunnegan; an abandoned vehicle found at Highway D/East 390th Road in Bolivar; and a 911 hang-up call from West Jackson Street in Bolivar.

These reports provide insight into recent law enforcement activities within Polk County.
