The Polk County Sheriff’s Office released its jail bookings and incident reports on April 15, detailing several arrests and responses throughout the county.
The report lists Charles Hawthorne, age 55 of Bolivar, as having been arrested on a warrant related to a traffic offense. David Orrell, age 40 of Flemington, was arrested on a parole violation. In addition, an unnamed 35-year-old male was booked on a 24-hour hold for unlawful use of a weapon.
Deputies responded to various calls across the area including domestic disturbances in Brighton and Humansville, road hazards in Flemington, trespassing in Aldrich and Bolivar, as well as agency assists in Bolivar and Aldrich. Other incidents included burglary in progress on Hwy D in Bolivar, theft calls in Brighton, juvenile complaints in Bolivar, disputes in Halfway, child endangerment concerns in Dunnegan, intoxicated subjects reported in Brighton, motorist assists near Bolivar, multiple traffic stops across the region including W Broadway St., N Springfield Ave., Hwy D/S 135th Rd., Hwy 32/S 147th Rd., among others.
Additional calls involved responding to C&I (careless and imprudent) drivers near Halfway and handling two separate hang-up emergency calls from Pleasant Hope and Bolivar.
These regular updates provide transparency about law enforcement activities within Polk County. They offer residents insight into ongoing public safety efforts by local deputies.
