University of Missouri-St. Louis sophomore Morgan Lint was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in women’s tennis, according to an April 15 announcement from the conference office.

This recognition highlights Lint’s recent performances, which contributed to her team’s victories and personal achievements on the court.

Lint, a biology major from Cincinnati, Ohio, won both her singles matches at No. 4 and paired with Hannah Tse for doubles wins at No. 1 during last week’s competitions. She recorded a singles victory over McKendree’s Keira Greefs (3-6, 6-2, 1-0 [10-8]) and UIndy’s Linya Chen (6-0, 1-6, 6-0). Her win against Chen clinched the match for UMSL against Indianapolis and marked only the second time in program history that UMSL has defeated UIndy.

In doubles play with Tse, Lint helped secure victories over McKendree’s Lena Grees and Keira Greefs (6-1) as well as UIndy’s Magda Komijczuk and Silvia Zappoli (6-1), improving their season record to 16-1 in doubles competition.

This is Lint’s first career Player of the Week award. The previous Tritons’ recipient was Hannah Tse on April 8.

The Tritons are scheduled to host Maryville this Saturday at Dwight Davis Tennis Center for their final home match of the regular season.
