The Missouri Tigers men’s wrestling team announced on May 5 the signing of transfer Luke Geog, according to head coach Brian Smith. Geog, who is from Upper Arlington, Ohio, joins the program after competing for Ohio State since 2022.

Geog brings notable experience to Missouri, having qualified twice for the NCAA Championships at 197 pounds. His best performance came in 2026 when he reached the Round of 12, finishing one win short of All-American status. Over four seasons with Ohio State in Columbus, Geog compiled a record of 50-23 and achieved a dual meet record of 23-12. He also posted a career bonus rate nearing forty percent and recorded eighteen technical falls and two pins.

During his time as a Buckeye, Geog was named twice to the Academic All-Big Ten team in both 2024 and 2025 and was recognized as an Ohio State Scholar-Athlete during those same years. On the freestyle circuit, he earned second place at the U23 Nationals in Geneva, Ohio in 2025.

Before college competition, Geog wrestled for St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio where he was a two-time state finalist at 170 pounds and won an individual title in 2022. His high school achievements include third place at Fargo Nationals junior division (2021) and winning an NHSCA National Championship that same year.

“I chose Mizzou because of the culture and the belief the coaches have in me. Excited to get to work with the guys and accomplish our goals,” said Geog about his decision to join Missouri.

Smith said about his new recruit: “Luke beings high level experience from wrestling in the Big 10 and having success at the NCAAs. We are excited to bring him into the room and get to work.”
