The Missouri Tigers women’s basketball team announced on Apr. 14 the addition of transfer guard Nevaeh Caffey from Indiana, according to head coach Kellie Harper.

Caffey started all 32 games for the Hoosiers last season, averaging 8.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. She scored in double figures in twelve games, including eight of her final nine appearances, and posted a season-high of 18 points against Penn State on Feb. 28.

Harper said, “Nevaeh is a rising star whose work ethic and mentality will elevate our program. It’s important for our staff to prioritize in-state talent and keep Missouri at the forefront—we’re excited to bring Nevaeh home!”

Originally from Warrenton, Missouri, Caffey was ranked as the No. 65 recruit nationally in the class of 2025 and earned four-star prospect status. During her high school career at Incarnate Word Academy, she contributed to four consecutive Missouri Class 6 State Championships and was named Miss Show-Me Basketball in 2025. The Red Knights set a national record with a streak of 139 consecutive wins during her time there.

In her senior year of high school, Caffey averaged nearly seventeen points per game along with notable contributions across rebounds, assists, and steals. She received recognition as a third team All-American honoree and Class 6 All-State Player of the Year.

Caffey becomes the second transfer portal addition for Missouri during the current offseason.
