Missouri Tigers baseball defeated No. 24 Arkansas, 6-1, in the final game of their three-game Southeastern Conference series at Taylor Stadium on April 25.

The victory is significant for Missouri, as it marks their first home conference win since May 4, 2024, and their first win over Arkansas since the 2022 season. The Tigers improved to a record of 21-23 overall and now stand at 4-17 in conference play.

Missouri started strong with a three-run first inning that included a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch from Mateo Serna and runs batted in by Kaden Peer and Donovan Jordan. In the second inning, Eric Maisonet’s single set up Pierre Seals to hit his fourth home run of the season, extending Missouri’s lead to five runs. Maisonet added another solo home run in the fourth inning.

Freshman pitcher JD Dohrmann returned from injury for his first start since March but exited after one inning. Keyler Gonzalez then pitched five scoreless innings with five strikeouts and no walks before Juan Villarreal took over in the seventh. Villarreal allowed one run across nearly three innings before Sam Rosand closed out the game by striking out the only batter he faced.

The game featured several notable performances: Seals recorded his nineteenth career home run; Maisonet achieved his fifth multi-hit game this year; Jase Woita had his team-leading fourteenth multi-hit game; Kam Durnin notched his tenth multi-hit outing; and freshman Blaize Ward reached base twice for the fifth time in seven games.

Looking ahead, Missouri will travel for a midweek matchup against Southeast Missouri State University on Tuesday evening.
