Missouri State women’s track and field achieved multiple event wins and set new facility records at the Mo State Invitational held on April 17 at Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium.
The meet was significant for the team, as it featured standout performances that contributed to their preparation for the end of the season. Head coach Jordan Fife said, “It was an amazing afternoon. The energy was great, and the team responded well to the opportunity to run at home. The support was phenomenal and we appreciate everyone who came out. We had some really big performances today and set us up really well for the end of the season.”
Ella Cronhardt led individual efforts by winning the 800-meter run in a facility-record time of 2:10.70, while Missouri State’s 4×100-meter relay team—Kayleigh Jenkins, Delaney Weimer, Claire Farrell, and Olivia Rogers—set another facility record with a time of 45.03 seconds. The Bears also secured victories in events including the 400-meter hurdles, 1,500-meter run, 3,000-meter run, triple jump, and closed with a win in the 4×400-meter relay.
Several athletes posted personal bests throughout various events such as hurdles sprints and distance races. In addition to strong showings on track events like relays and dashes where multiple runners finished among top positions, field event competitors also delivered notable results; Shiloh Cross recorded a personal-best in long jump before winning triple jump.
As Missouri State prepares for upcoming competitions—including their next appearance at John McDonnell Invitational—the team’s recent achievements are seen as important momentum builders heading into later stages of their season.
